Why should I participate in this programme?

This programme aims to support unemployed Malaysians in securing jobs within the digital technology sector. It also focuses on upskilling employees through job-relevant training, ensuring they gain the necessary qualifications and skills to thrive in the digital economy and excel in their roles.


What jobs are eligible under this programme?

A permanent position or a minimum contract duration of twelve (12) months, and the job must either be listed under the Digital Technology focus area in HRDCorp's Industry Skills Framework (IndSF) or align with one of MDEC’s Promoted Tech Enablers as listed below:

Participating employee eligibility criteria

  • Fresh graduates, unemployed individuals or retrenched workers.
  • Aged between 17 and 45 years old.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering / STEM / any other related field or graduate of MDEC’s Digital Innovator Program (DIP).
  • Fulfil the specified hiring requirements set by the Hiring Partners.
  • Have not benefited from other incentive programmes by MDEC.

What are the benefits?

What are the employer’s benefits?

Employers who partner with us will receive salary and training incentives to support the hiring and upskilling of unemployed Malaysians in the digital technology sector.

This programme offers 3-month salary incentives of up to RM6,000 and training incentives of up to RM2,000 per approved participating employee.

Your company eligibility criteria

  • Company registered in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 OR 2016.
  • Incorporated for a minimum of one (1) year.
  • Company is not subjected to liquidation or winding up order or not have a dormant status.
  • Must not be public sector employers such as government departments, ministries, statutory bodies, or local authorities.
  • The company must ensure no shareholders, senior management, or employees hold positions at MDEC. Any actual or perceived conflict of interest must be declared immediately, and MDEC may take appropriate action, including disqualification.

Hiring Process

Step 1

Submit Application

Submit the required details and documents through the MD Workforce Place and Train Application Form for MDEC’s approval.

Step 2

Signing Agreement

The approved Partner will sign the Partnership agreement.

Step 3

Hiring Process

Partner will review applications, shortlist candidate(s) & proceed with the screening and interview process.

Step 4

Onboard Employee

Partner will offer jobs to candidate(s) who meet the requirements.

Step 5

Assign Training

Partner to enrol the eligible employee(s) in job-related Digital Tech training.

Step 6

Reimbursement

Partners to submit the required supporting document within the stipulated time frame to claim the incentives.
